Before you begin

Questions are welcome here.

Starting therapy is a meaningful step. Here is what you may want to know first.

01Is my concern “serious enough” for therapy?+

You do not need to meet a threshold. If something is affecting your wellbeing, relationships, work, sleep, or sense of self, it is valid to seek support.

02What happens in the first session?+

We discuss what brings you in, relevant history, and what you hope to change. You can share at your own pace; it is not a test or interrogation.

03Is therapy confidential?+

Yes. Your information is treated with professional care and ethical privacy. Limits apply where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others, and these are explained clearly.

04Do you offer online therapy?+

Yes. Online video sessions and in-person consultations are available. The quality and structure of care remain the same.

05How often will we meet?+

Many clients begin weekly or bi-weekly. Frequency is personalised and can reduce as you gain skills and stability.

06What approach do you use?+

Care draws from Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), cognitive-behavioural methods, humanistic principles, and trauma-informed practice.

07What is the cancellation policy?+

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling. Cancellations within 24 hours may be subject to a fee.

08Can I first check if we are a good fit?+

Yes. You can request a complimentary 15–20 minute consultation before deciding whether to begin therapy.

A conversation is enough to begin

You have already done the hardest part.

You do not need the right words. You only need to be willing to start.
